Our Financial Services Client is seeking a Junior Copywriter to join their growing team.

Writer

W2 Contract through EOY, Possible Extension/Conversion

Hybrid in Malvern, PA, Scottsdale, AZ, or Charlotte, NC

Overview

The team is hiring two writers who will support retirement and investment plan participant communications. These roles focus on creating and maintaining clear, action‑oriented content that helps individuals understand their retirement and investment plans and take appropriate next steps. The work involves a mix of original writing and structured, templated updates. Writers must be comfortable shifting between creative development and standardized communication tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Writers will create and maintain short‑form participant communications across multiple channels, including:

• Letters to plan participants
• Email campaigns
• Website and microsite content
• Consumer Educational materials
• Consumer calls to action
• Messaging updates and content maintenance

Some assignments will require developing messaging from scratch; others will involve transforming business partner inputs into clear, participant‑friendly communications.

Work Environment & Volume

This team manages a high volume of content production , and writers should expect to:

• Manage approximately 10–12 short form deliverables per day
• Complete multiple rounds of revisions as content moves through internal review
• Focus primarily on short‑form, action‑driven communications rather than long‑form editorial work

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

• Experience writing for financial services, banking, or retirement‑related topics
• Ability to create clear, persuasive short‑form messaging
• Comfort working in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills
• Ability to interpret and clarify ambiguous briefs

Preferred (nice to have):

• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot)
• Experience with Workfront or similar project‑management platforms
• Retirement, Banking, Financial Services, or Investment industry knowledge
• ASPPA certification

Writers must translate financial concepts into clear, accessible language for a general audience, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and user action.
