Education Manager (Site Director) – Test Prep & Tutoring

Full-time | On-site

$80K–$95K (depending on experience, hours and performance)

TestTakers is hiring an Education Manager (Site Director) to lead instruction, work with families, and help manage and grow our Long Island programs.

This is a unique role that combines:

• Teaching (SAT/ACT + academic tutoring)
• Student and family advising
• Program and site leadership

You’ll have meaningful responsibility, autonomy in your day-to-day work, and a direct impact on the success of your site , while working closely with a small, experienced leadership team.

What You’ll Do

Teach & Tutor

• Teach SAT classes and tutor students (test prep + academics)
• Adapt to different learning styles
• Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction

Work with Families

• Speak with prospective families and guide them toward the right programs
• Help students get started with tutoring and classes
• Build strong relationships that drive retention and referrals

Lead Site Operations

• Manage class schedules and student enrollment
• Coordinate day-to-day logistics and program execution
• Support and mentor tutors
• Contribute to outreach and local growth efforts

What This Role Is Like

• A mix of teaching, communication, and operations
• About 20-25 hours/week teaching , plus leadership and admin work
• High autonomy in how you manage your responsibilities
• Fast-paced during peak seasons (SAT dates, finals)
• most education managers work noon-8pm Monday through Thursday and one weekend day

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years teaching or tutoring high school students
• Strong SAT proficiency (required)
• Excellent communication skills, especially with parents
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Someone who takes initiative and follows through
