Helke Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wausau, WI is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Crematory Operator to support our cremation operations. This role is ideal for someone who values professionalism, dignity, and respect while serving families during meaningful moments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain crematory equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform cremations in full compliance with state regulations and company standards
• Accurately identify, track, and process remains throughout all stages of cremation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly crematory environment
• Complete required documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
• Work collaboratively with funeral home staff to ensure timely and dignified service

Requirements

• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow established procedures and regulatory requirements precisely
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call as needed
• Ability to lift and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Crematory certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
