Job Description

Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Boulder, Colorado

About the Role

The role works in close collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Expediting. Manage the procurement process for strategic materials and services, ensuring quality, competitive costs, on-time delivery, and compliance with purchasing requirements. This is a hands-on, fully operational role in which the candidate will manage the entire procurement process, without team management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all procurement activities end-to-end, including RFO/RFQ preparation, supplier selection, negotiation, order placement in the system.
  • Lead contract and commercial negotiations with strong bargaining capability, securing favorable terms and conditions for the company in terms of cost and contractual clauses.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers, expanding and consolidating the supply base.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the execution of orders and in meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Manage supplier relationships throughout the entire order lifecycle, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and supporting the Expediting function in case of critical issues or delays.
  • Collaborate actively with various company functions (Engineering, Quality, Production, Finance, Project Management, Expediting) to ensure consistency and efficiency in the procurement process.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Buyer, in industrial, technical, mechanical or engineering contexts.
  • Experience in managing complex tenders for EPC contracts in the Energy or Oil & Gas sectors
  • International contractual standards (e.g., FIDIC Silver Book, DBIA, EJCDC, LOGIC), will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international contexts.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
