Social Work Supervisor (LMSW)

Location: New York, NY (90% Office-Based | 10% Local Travel)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Guardianship Program Supervisor (LMSW) to lead and support Case Managers within an Article 81 Guardianship program. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring high-quality, client-centered care for vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Program Leadership

• Provide guidance, coaching, and direct supervision to Case Managers.
• Review and approve assessments, care plans, and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality standards.
• Act as a clinical resource for complex cases, ethical dilemmas, and crisis situations.
• Develop and enhance workflows, procedures, and best practices to improve program effectiveness and staff performance.

Collaboration, Advocacy & Administration

• Coordinate with healthcare providers, legal professionals, families, and community stakeholders to ensure comprehensive, client-centered care.
• Represent the program in interdisciplinary meetings and case conferences.
• Oversee caseload distribution, staff productivity, and adherence to confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Travel locally as needed to support staff, attend meetings, or address client needs.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Master Social Worker ( LMSW ) in good standing.
• Prior experience in supervision, case management, guardianship, or within a healthcare, legal, or social services setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in nursing homes, hospitals, or with elderly populations.

Schedule & Flexibility

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• One-hour lunch (or 30-minute lunch with two 15-minute breaks)
• Flexibility required for occasional weekend emergencies or extended hours in critical situations
