we’re working with a well-established commercial General Contractor in the Fort Lauderdale area that is continuing to grow and pick up a strong pipeline of work across South Florida. They’re looking to bring on an experienced Superintendent who can take ownership of projects on site and keep things moving safely, on schedule and to a high standard.

What you’ll be doing

• Overseeing day-to-day site operations from mobilization through to closeout
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and field staff to keep projects on schedule
• Making sure all work is carried out safely and in line with company and OSHA standards
• Reading and interpreting plans, specs and schedules
• Leading site meetings and maintaining clear communication with the Project Manager and client
• Managing site logistics, inspections and quality control
• Keeping accurate daily reports and maintaining project documentation
• Driving the schedule and resolving issues before they become problems

What they’re looking for

• 5+ years’ experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
• Experience running projects in the $5M to $25M range is ideal
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site safety
• Ability to lead from the front and build good relationships with subcontractors and clients
• Comfortable using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam or similar
• OSHA 30 preferred
• Local experience in South Florida is a plus
