Inside Sales Representative

Location: Commerce Township, MI

Schedule: Hybrid (On-site 3 days/week; preference for candidates open to more on-site time)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent/Direct Hire

Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 annual base salary

About the Role

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative (Technical Sales) to support incoming customer inquiries, qualify leads, prepare quotes, and manage orders from start to finish. This position also includes vendor purchasing, coordination with internal teams, and assistance with shipping and logistics. The role is primarily on-site, with occasional travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Qualify incoming sales leads and prepare quotes for process control valves, actuators, and industrial instrumentation.
• Enter and manage customer orders through completion and delivery.
• Purchase materials from vendors, monitor lead times, and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Support basic shipping and logistics tasks, including preparing bills of lading and working with freight partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to maintain efficient operations and high service levels.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical knowledge of industrial valves, actuators, or instrumentation.
• Experience with ERP systems (Prophet 21 preferred) and sales/order processing workflows.
• Familiarity with shipping and freight practices, including UPS WorldShip.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• ERP: Prophet 21 (required); QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Shipping Software: UPS WorldShip
• Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
